A Productive Day at Work!

This week has been so busy at work I had time to perfect the art of doodling! This was my greatest creation...

Terrible I know that I was effectively being paid to stand around and do such a thing, but honestly I am no slacker and if there had been work I would have been quite happily running around doing it, there was just actually NOTHING to do! NOTHING WHATSOEVER! So I may as well let the creative juices flow rather than let boredom turn my brain to fluff. Fluff is good to no-one! :D

Today I am thankful for...

* The amazing cleaning power of Vanish - because without it a white work shirt covered in tomato salsa would have been a disaster story! lol!

* Walking home straight into a lovely sunset! (just walking home in the light is a bit of a novelty at the moment!)

* Last week was a really good week, lots of little and big breakthroughs, tons of laughter, lots of friend time both with old and new friends = brilliant week!

* Painkillers that worked a lot better than they usually do, helped my day an awful lot! :D

* A headful of lyric/melodic ideas! yay! Watch this space..........

* Understanding a little more how my Father see's me and that what the world thinks doesn't matter!

50+ Things We Learnt From Movies & TV

Well unfortunately I cannot claim to have written this list but when I found it, it made my day! Being a massive movie fan myself I couldn't agree more with most of the things on here, read and enjoy! :D
    1. If being chased through town, you can usually take cover in a passing St Patrick's Day parade - at any time of the year.
    2. If staying in a haunted house, women should investigate any strange noises wearing their most revealing underwear.
    3. All beds have special L-shaped top sheets that reach up to armpit level on a woman but only waist level on the man lying beside her.
    4. All grocery shopping bags contain at least one stick of French bread.
    5. It's easy for anyone to land a plane, providing there is someone in the control tower to talk you down.
    6. Once applied, lipstick will never rub off - even while scuba diving.
    7. The ventilation system of any building is a perfect hiding place. No one will ever think of looking for you in there and you can travel to any other part of the building without difficulty.
    8. You're likely to survive any battle in any war unless you make the mistake of showing someone a picture of you sweetheart back home.
    9. Should you wish to pass yourself off as a German officer, it will not be necessary to speak the language. A German accent will do.
    10. The Eiffel Tower can be seen from any window of any building in Paris.
    11. People of TV never finish their drinks.
    12. A man will show no pain while taking the most ferocious beating but will wince when a woman tries to clean his wounds.
    13. The chief of police is always black.
    14. When paying for a taxi, never look at your wallet as you take out a note - just grab one at random and hand it over. It will always be the exact fare.
    15. If you lose a hand, it will cause the stump of your arm to grow by 15cm.
    16. Kitchens don't have light switches. When entering a kitchen at night, you should open the fridge door and use that light instead.
    17. During all police investigations, it will be necessary to visit a strip club at least once.
    18. Mothers routinely cook eggs, bacon and waffles for their family every morning, even though the husband and children never have time to eat them.
    19. Cars and trucks that crash will almost always burst into flames.
    20. Wearing a singlet or stripping to the waist can make a man invulnerable to bullets.
    21. If a killer is lurking in your house, it's easy to find him. Just relax and run a bath - even if it's the middle of the afternoon.
    22. Medieval peasants had perfect teeth.
    23. Although in the 20th century it is possible to fire weapons at an object out of visual range, people of the 23rd century will have lost this technology.
    24. All single women have a cat.
    25. Any person waking from a nightmare will sit bolt upright and pant.
    26. Even when driving down a perfectly straight road, it is necessary to turn the steering wheel vigorously from left to right every few moments.
    27. One man shooting at 20 men has a better chance of killing them all than 20 men firing at one.
    28. Creepy music coming from a graveyard should always be closely investigated.
    29. If a phone line is broken, communication can be restored by frantically beating the cradle and saying, "Hello?, Hello?"
    30. Most people keep a scrapbook of newspaper cutting - especially if any of their family or friends has died in a strange boat in an accident.
    31. It does not matter if you are heavily outnumbered in a fight involving martial arts - your enemies will wait patiently to attack you one by one by dancing around in a threatening manner until you have knocked out their predecessor.
    32. During a very emotional confrontation, instead of facing the person you are speaking to, it is customary to stand behind them and talk to their back.
    33. When you turn out the light to go to bed, everything in your room will still be clearly visible, just slightly bluish.
    34. Dogs always know who's bad and will naturally bark at them.
    35. Police departments give their officers personality tests to make sure they are deliberately assigned a partner who is their total opposite.
    36. When they are alone, all foreigners prefer to speak English to each other.
    37. Action heroes never face charges for manslaughter or criminal damage despite laying entire cities to waste.
    38. No matter how badly a spaceship is attacked, its internal gravity system is never damaged.
    39. If there is a deranged killer on the loose, this will coincide with a thunderstorm that has brought down all the power and phone lines in the vicinity.
    40. You can always find a chainsaw whenever you're likely to need one.
    41. Rather than wasting bullets, megalomaniacs prefer to kill their arch-enemies using complicated machinery involving fuses, pulley systems, deadly gases, lasers and man eating sharks that will allow their captives at least 20 minutes to escape.
    42. Having a job of any kind will make all fathers forget their son's eighth birthday.
    43. Many musical instruments - especially wind instruments and accordions - can be played without moving the fingers.
    44. All bombs are fitted with electronic timing devices with large red readouts so you know exactly when they're going to go off.
    45. It is always possible to park directly outside the building you are visiting.
    46. Guns are like disposable razors - if you run out of bullets, just throw the gun away. You can always buy a new one.
    47. Make-up can safely be worn to bed without smudging.
    48. A detective can only solve a case once he has been suspended from duty.
    49. If you decide to start dancing in the street, everyone you bump into will know all the steps.
    50. If a man chews gum, he will be killed, but if a woman chews gum she will get laid.
    51. Walking by yourself in the dark always leads to disaster.
    52. All watches and clocks are syncronized to the second.
    53. Building ventilation ducts are always clean.
    54. If you loose an arm, your chest will expand on the same side.
    55. No matter how fuzzy the photograph, it can be enlarged and enhanced to show the finest detail.
    56. Any computer, anywhere, even in the jungle, can hack into the most secure goverment system.
    57. Most cars are already running when you get in. If you must start the car, it will most likely fail to start or blow up.
    58. Never use the phone for personal messages- visit in person even if you're in LA or New York.
    59. Any aliens from outer space that you meet will speak your language.
    60. If a lifetime of watching movies has taught me anything at all, it's to MAKE SURE that a captured secret agent is dead BEFORE you walk away from your miscellaneous torture device.
    61. That, and to always look behind you when you hear menacing violin music begin to play.

    Ahh you've gotta love Hollywood!

Today, I'm leaving all my troubles behind
I'm letting go, I follow the light
Trusting you with all of my life
I see a rising sun, it's only just begun

Today, I'm walking to the beat of your heart
You take me all the way to the start
Stretch you hand and strighten the path
I'm found in open skies, your heart it lives in mine

Today, today, oh today

Today, I'm finding my first love again
I'm learning how to let you in
Trusting you with all that I am
The shadows fade away, It's you that clears the day

No more running wild
I'm yours for life
You got me here, You got me!
I hear your call tonight
Your heart is mine
You got me here, you got me!

You drew me out of the deepest sea
Gave my soul a song to sing
You took me up on a mountain top
I see my life in a different light

Today, today, today!

New Camera!

Went for a walk with my new camera today and it was a JOY!! Here's a few of my snaps...

These flowers were growing in a huge area of just mud - not even one tiny little bit of grass! Nothing like seeing something bloom in a situation of adversity! Cheesy but true!

Botanical Gardens in Victoria Park - beautiful and peaceful!
It's a good thing Bath has a ready made sight to try out the new camera's panoramic settings!
Mmmmmm Macro settings to die for!

Beautiful Bath! Did feel a lot like a tourist roaming around taking photos of the Bath sights but it was a lot of fun :)

Then I went to an amazing art exhibition put on by the wonderful students from Freedom Art's College. All these artists are soooo talented and the art was real food for my spirit!

Artist: Amy Samuel - these paintings were like heaven to me! The use of colour just turned me to happy mush (that's a good thing btw lol!). If I had a spare few hundred £'s the blue one would be mine!

Artist: Sarah Cooper - I love the freedom expressed in this, simple yet effective. What a talented friend I have!

Artist: Zoe Grieves - lush textiles!

Well, that's that then. I think I can safely say my camera is proving itself big time. I've had a lovely day so far because of all my creative exploring :D
Off to do some songwriting now - YAY!

It's Time For Change And I'm Excited!

Looks like tonight, the sky is heavy
Feels like the winds are gonna change
Beneath my feet, the earth is ready
I know its time for heaven's rain
It's gonna rain

Cos it's living water we desire
To flood our hearts with holy fire

Rain down all around the world we're singing
Rain down can you here the earth is singing
Rain down my heart is dry but still I'm singing
Rain down rain it down on me.

Back to the start, my heart is heavy
Feels like it's time, to dream again
I see the clouds, and yes I'm ready
To dance upon this barren land
Hope in my hands

Do not shut, Do not shut, Do not shut the heavens
But open up, open up, open up our hearts

Give me strength to cross this water
Keep my heart upon your altar
Give me strength to cross this water
Keep my feet don’t let me falter

In the past change has unnerved me in the way it does with most of us, I definitely have never seen it as a bad thing but its not very comfortable is it!?
Right now my life and my world seems set for some change and to be honest I am excited, I can't wait to see the finished article (though I'm sure this will take a lifetime). I'm just going to take things one day at a time and trust that it's all in his hands!

This photo has just brightened my day and gave me a warm fuzzy feeling! Ignore the dog and random carpet and just look at the books!!! *drool* !!! Oooh it is very lovely and makes me want to get organised and creative the same time :D
(I can't remember where I found this picture so if you find it on here and it is yours I'm really sorry and thank you because it is truly beautiful and brings me joy!)
